About Pat
Noel Soccer is dedicated to improving the skills of youth players. The program's founder, Pat Noel, is regionally recognized as having successfully trained and mentored dozens of Division I college players. Coach Noel uses diverse coaching staff from across Maryland to assist him in developing young athletes.
COACHING ACCOMPLISHMENTS
  • Pat NoelCoached 8 teams to Maryland State Cup Championships, 1 team to Finals, and 7 to Semifinals
  • Coached 3 teams to Region 1 Championships and at US Youth Soccer National Championships
  • Coached 3 nationally ranked teams at St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis
  • Over 100 former players have played in college, mostly at NCAA Div.1 Colleges
  • Every team coached has eventually reached Division 1 on NCSL or WAGS
  • Director of Noel Soccer Programs, LLC which offers soccer camps and training opportunities
  • Graduate of Bowie High School and member of 1986 and 1987 MD 4A State Championship teams
COACHING EXPERIENCE

Director of Coaching, Freestate Soccer Alliance

  • Club has significantly raised the number of teams in WAGS and NCSL in Divisions 1/2
  • Club has had over 100 players play in College, many on scholarship
  • Responsible for training sessions, clinics, training teams, and coaching education

Coach, Freestate Titans (U-15 Boys)
  • 2006 Raleigh Shootout Champions
  • 2006 USYSA Region 1 Premier League – Finished in 3rd Place
  • 2005 U-13 MD State Cup Champions and Region 1 Semifinalists
  • U-12 and U-14 MD State Cup Semifinalists
  • 4 US Youth National pool, 7 Region 1 pool and 15 MD ODP selections
  • Champions and finalists at numerous tournaments on the East Coast
August 2004 to Present

Co-Coach, Freestate Sharks (U-16 Girls)

  • 2006 Fall WAGS Division 1 Champions
  • 2006 Spring WAGS Division 2 Runners-Up
  • Represented 2006 Freestate United as U-15 US Club Soccer Regional Finalist
  • 5 players selected to MD Olympic Development Team
Summers 1996-2003

Maryland Olympic Development Program, Staff Coach

  • Identified top players in Maryland for training and exposure to Region 1 competition
  • 1997 Regional Finalist with 1985 U-13’s.  1996 Regional Semifinalists with 1981 U-15’s
  • Placed dozens on the regional team and several into USYSA National Team program
  • A handful of former players are now playing professionally
